You guys know the drill – I’m sharing one lunchbox meal at the beginning of each month that’s festive, easy to recreate at home, and part of my “I’ll never be able to plan cute, perfect looking lunches everyday but can manage one a month” movement!
**disclaimer – if you don’t cut your kids fruit with cookie cutters or have any desire to do this you’re a great mom I promise!**
THE DETAILS
We took a trip to our local apple orchard last week which is what inspired this them – apple butter, apple shaped pasta…basically apple heaven!
(**links below may contain affiliate links in which I make a small commission off of purchases made through them!**)
- PINWHEEL WRAPS: apple butter, cream cheese, lettuce (optional) and rotisserie chicken rolled up in a wrap and cut into slices.
- APPLE ZUCCHINI AND CARROT MINI MUFFINS: I used this Zucchini muffin recipe and added a half cup of diced apples and a half cup of shredded carrot and OMG they are delicious! The girls LOVED these and I love how they have hidden veggies for picky eaters!
- APPLE SHAPED PASTA SALAD: I found this apple shaped pasta at our local orchard but also have seen similar at Home Goods!
- To make: cook pasta according to package. Drain and mix in broccoli chopped really small, shredded carrot, chopped tomatoes and mayo. Season with salt and pepper!
- APPLESAUCE: This cute pink applesauce pouch I found at Target here!
- APPLE SLICES WITH CHEESE: *pro-tip – keep your apples from turning brown by mixing one cup of water with two tablespoons of honey and let the apple slices soak for a few minutes*
- Find the shape cutters I use for fruits and veggies here!
