A FUN SURPRISE TO WAKE UP TO ON LAST DAY OF SCHOOL! 🎈🎉

It’s almost MAY which I know, for a lot of you, that means the last day of school is approaching!

This is a really fun surprise for your kids to open their door to on their last day of school (and bonus - you can prep most everything in advance!)

I decorated a piece of poster board (if you have cardboard around you can totally use that!) and wrote on it significant things that Everly accomplished this year (+ things that would make her giggle or smile!) I will hang this board outside her door (with command strips!) after she goes to sleep the night before the last day and use gaffer tape to hang streamers filled with some balloons!

When she wakes up on her last day of school and opens her bedroom door the balloons will come spilling in and she’ll see her door decorated! 🎈🎉

When does school end by you?!

I usually will set the girls up at a picnic table

I usually will set the girls up at a picnic table at the beach or just on our beach blanket to do this! We leave the shells out to dry for the rest of the time we are there and by the time we’re ready to leave they are dry and safe to throw in our seashell collecting bags (linked in my “summer” highlight!)

Paint palettes and paintbrushes have become staples in my beach bag since Mandy from @mommasociety shared this fun hack last year! 🐚 🎨 🏝️

TEACHER APPRECIATION/END OF SCHOOL YEAR DIY GIFT 🍎

Making this for Everly’s teachers again this year because last year was such a hit!
**As always - the version we actually give to her teachers will be made by her!**

This is cheap to make and you can get your kids involved with making them and they can easily be adapted for a gift for the last day of school!

WHAT TO DO:
-Cut 5 pieces of cardboard
-Punch holes in each (once you do one lay it on top of the others and draw the holes so they line up before punching them out!)
-Attach the candy (we used @extragum, @reeses, 100 grand and a @target gift card) with Velcro stickers.
-Have your kids decorate the pages
-Weave yarn through the holes and tie to secure the pages.
-Wrap a piece of (sparkly!) yarn around the whole book and tie loosely in a bow to hold it down and extra secure until they open it!

We were invited up to @greatwolflodge in the Pocon

We were invited up to @greatwolflodge in the Poconos this weekend to take a tour of all of the renovations this property is undergoing on oh my goodness was I impressed!

Here’s what you can expect to see there later this year:

💫 Villas with interior designed by Nate Berkus (these are going to be absolutely gorgeous - you can see a view from one of the balcony’s in this video!) for an elevated experience.

💫 Waterpark expansion! This includes new slides, more cabanas, lockers and fun!

💫 An outdoor pool area that will have a big hot tub, fire pits, cabanas and of course the beautiful outdoor view surrounding the property for a different pool experience from the waterpark.

And they just added a new restaurant - Fireside! An outdoor themed environment with fire-cooked food that evokes the vibe of a warm summer’s night in the north woods!

I always say this is the one vacation spot my kids ask to come back to ALL THE TIME. There is so much to keep the kids entertained but these new additions are also going to be very appealing to parents as well!

Super excited for all that’s to come here! 🐺✨
